Description
Discover the disused mining tunnels and the former open-cast mining area on the Geological Trail "Giele Botter".
On the 'Giele Botter' geological tour, you will learn more about the history of ore mining and the deposits in the Giele Botter open-cast mining area. The 2.5-kilometre long hiking trail is all about old mine entrances, open-cast mining in general and also about fossils unearthed during the work. The trail leads through the present-day nature reserve Prënzebierg – Giele Botter.
