There is hardly a better connection; this "Kabaischen", one of a total of 11 hikers' huts on the Minett Trail, is just a stone's throw from the Belval-Rédange train station. But as a guest in this completely new hiker's cottage, you will hardly notice the train traffic - thanks to the ultra-modern building materials and insulation.
In this bungalow, whose look also has a bit of industrial charm, space was created for a total of 12 beds thanks to excellent room planning. A large common room provides the opportunity for a lively exchange with like-minded hikers and other guests.
The view from the "Kabaischen" was planned with a view of the countryside; on the one hand wide agricultural areas, on the other hand the imposing industrial areas of the nearby site of Esch-Belval with its two blast furnaces. Here the Minett region shows its high-contrast side.
The natural environment of the "Kabaischen" was left as natural as possible; Trees and garden were preserved.
A bungalow dating from the 1950s stood on this plot of land. It was in a state of disrepair, so it was demolished. However, its typology has been revisited, with a contemporary interpretation. The roof line is reminiscent of the industrial hall that stands in the immediate vicinity and on the same property. The result was a state-of-the-art hiker's hut, which is absolutely worth visiting.
The "Kabaischen" has parking spaces for vehicles in front of its door and is also barrier-free. The design of the Kabaischen was done by A+T Architecture.
