Konschtmillen "am Centre Wax"
The exploitation of the old mill had already ended in 1983, but it lasted until 2012 that the municipality took the decision to give a second life to the site. After some years of renovation there it is: the Wax centre. The main facilities include four discovery spaces, each one fitting the needs for culture, tourism and events. For instance, the renewed attic in its rustic appearance suits perfectly to small scale events as well as expositions. The “red house” accommodates an exposition about World War II. More precisely, the exposition treats the liberation of Pétange as the first Luxembourgish city freed by the Allies. On the ground floor, the Wax restaurant chef Damien Klein presents his “Pre-volution” as a gastronomic food concept. For wine lovers, the “Dipso” wine bar offers a great variety of delightful wines.
